GENERAL INFORMATION:
SHOT Show took up a great deal of my time in January. My original intent was not to go, but I went and I think I broke the code on how to best attend. The folks at PWS-Primary Weapons Systems graciously allowed me to work with them in their booth. I found it much easier to be in one spot and let people find you versus trying to wade through the mass of humanity.
I was actually very boring and did not go out at night, but rather decompressed and caught up on work and e-mails. Also, driving (yes I drove), is part of my therapy and I still enjoy seeing America vs. flying over it. Desert sunrises and sunsets are spectacular in my book.
I was able to see old friends and make new ones. Fernando from Panteao and I worked out many details on future projects and DVDs. Our plan is to do a Combat Mindset DVD next along with a DVD of just Shooting Drills that I see as tactically/combat applicable. We also set some long term project goals which I will discuss down the road.
With that, I want to focus the next five years on “Training the Trainer.” Currently I have many LE, Military and Civilian trainers come through CSAT. I feel I have better impact by targeting individual and groups that will take the system and multiply it back in their region. My goal with Panteao is to leave a video library of information, especially the “why,” where all my training and data can be accessed should I decide to drop off the radar screen and really retire one day.
As an additional note, I am excited to be working with MGM Targets in the future to produce CSAT paddle/kill zone targets, both static and re-setting. I was able to sit down with Travis and Jim and SHOT and have a very productive meeting. Also, we will be doing a writers event in the future for Harris Publications and I want to focus on the trainer aspect with them. I have done one before and they are great folks to work with.

LE CORNER:
Basic and Advanced SWAT Classes
The Advanced SWAT class for February is starting to fill and the cost will be $500. I will be training a new cadre to run the class in the San Marcos area in the future and will assist in running Basic SWAT’s here and Nacogdoches.
Leadership and Training for the Fight Seminar
i met some old friends from TTPOA in the Dallas area and they are interested in sponsoring my seminar this summer. We will be working on a date in the next couple of weeks.

Finally, my first LE/Mil DVD will be available from Brownell's shortly.
MONTHLY PERSPECTIVE:
FOUND ON A SEABEE MESSAGE BOARD:
Pee on a Crucifix, you're an "Artist"
Pee on The American Flag, you're a "Constitutionalist"
Pee on a Police Car, you're a "Freedom Lovin' 99 percenter"
Pee on a Taliban piece of shit that just tried to kill you and your fellow Marines, you're a "Villain"
Sure is a F***ed-up administration we have running this great country!!!!!
Reference the video of a Marine peeing on a dead Taliban terrorist, here are a few thoughts.
Having been in combat at that age and intensity, I understand young men and emotions. They are hot, dirty, sometimes mentally and sometimes physically burned out and don't make the best decisions fresh from the fight. I understand these things happen. Young men who see their brother Marines killed, injured or mutilated sometimes pee in less than desirable places. If you have not been there, you don't understand. The Taliban are chicken-shit cowards that mutilate defenseless women among others, recklessly kill and should be given no quarter.
Were I his squad leader or Platoon Sergeant and no video leaked, he would be told there are better places to pee. Since the video leaked, big Marine Corps must get involved and must take action. Before they do, they should read “With The Old Breed,” by E.B. Sledge, one of their own who served our country in the old days of the Corps. Much worse was done in that era.
The only difference now is that some dumbass in the squad used electronic media to vent to the world what they did. I could give two-shits about this in the big scheme of things. The problem is the liberal media will run with this and a no time in life president with no military or service to our country will put pressure on the higher in the Marine Corps to do something. The Marine Generals character and guts will determine the severity of the punishment for the Marine involved.
Finally, the knuckle-head Marine who videoed and released the incident probably needs some good old fashioned counseling and then needs to apologize to his fellow Marine and the Corps for bringing them under the microscope.
Remember you are in a liberal world now and don't give the other side ammunition. Take care of business as you know how and kill them wholesale. Channelize your anger into the next fight. If you need something to do to vent, do push-ups or pull security….. Some of you will like this and some won't…
Lesson # 1:
* U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
* Fed budget: $3,820,000,000,000
* New debt: $1,650,000,000,000
* National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
* Recent budget cuts: $38,500,000,000
Let's now remove 8 zeros and pretend it's a household budget:
* Annual family income: $21,700
* Money the family spent: $38,200
* New debt on the credit card: $16,500
* Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
* Total budget cuts: $385
Got It ??
OK. Now, Lesson # 2: Another way to look at the Debt Ceiling:
Let's say you come home from work and find there's been a sewer backup in your neighborhood and your house has sewage all the way up to your ceilings. What do you think you should do....
(A) raise the ceilings, or
(B) pump out the crap?
Your choice is coming Nov. 2012

MONTHLY INSPIRITATION:

On a lighter Note...

TRAINING:
The Advanced Tactical Pistol/Rifle DVD is out online and is available for download. The first video in the LE series should be out shortly. It is 2 hours and 50 minutes. I look forward to your feedback.
Civilian, LE or Mil, if you have a request or interest in which next DVD should be filmed, let me or the folks at Panteao know. We are looking at more filming in the next few months.
Tactical Medical Integration Course
I have had several requests for medical courses and my preference would be to run a Tactical Medical Integration Course where I would train students in the following:
Day 1: Rifle/Pistol/Safety
Day 2: CQB (Individual, Team and Organizational Medical applications)
Day 3: Hallways (Individual, Team and Organizational Medical applications)
Day 4: Exterior Movement (Same as above)/Low Light application
Day 5: Scenarios
The overall goals of the course would teach all aspects of medical relating to the team integrated medic, gun carrying with the command element or the non-gun carrying personnel and how to best integrate them into the tactical environment to handle single, multiple or mass casualty situations. I would also make suggestions as how to best handle medical training and scenarios into the tactical team environment.
Shoot me an e-mail with your interest and I will get the class scheduled and on the calendar.
RANGE UPDATE:
Quiet this month.
CLASSROOM/ LODGE:
NO UPDATES AT THIS TIME…..
EQUIPMENT:
Shortly MGM Targets will be cutting CSAT Chest plates and full IPSC type targets. I look forward to working with them in the future.
HUNTING UPDATE:

600 Yard Line….What Hog Problem????????????? Sorry, the dates and times are usually wrong on the cameras. The reason being is the display is the first thing to go and you cannot fix it without sending the cameras back to the company. Moultrie fixed them once and I will probably invest in new cameras next season.
Leadership and Training For the Fight/The Tactical Trainer
The book out and available from www.amazon.com It also contains the “The Tactical Trainer.” I just received several copies and will look it over this weekend.
The original “Leadership and Training for the Fight” will be available exclusively through www.authorshouse.com for those wishing to purchase it.

The Advanced Tac Pistol/Rifle DVD will be out shortly. If you are coming to either my Tactical Rifle or Pistol Instructor course, I would recommend buying the Operator level DVD's, review it and start to shoot the drills and standards. The learning curve for the class will not be so steep. Finally, Skyhorse notified me that they have downloaded “Leadership and Training for the Fight” to the e-book format.
READING/MISC. INFORMATION
More books stacking up…
CLASS PAYMENTS
You will have a slot in the course when I receive payment for the class. In the case of an agency, when they officially request an invoice. I have had too many individuals not show up lately and I intend to put a stop to it.
I would prefer you send a check as the credit card costs for processing are substantial.
IN CLOSING
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
