March 2022 Training Updates

GENERAL:

GOING GREEN

In the future, students need to bring a Thumb Drive of 64G or larger to class to download the class information. Instead of wasting money/time and resources on DVD’s and cases, I will have a multi-port USB attached to the classroom or shop computer that allows students to do a quick transfer to their USB.

THE CSAT WAY ON FACEBOOK AND PATREON

We continue to work on new video content for both the Patreon Operator and Patreon Instructor. As of 1 Jan 2022, we had 170 videos on the site.

We wanted to stock the pond so to speak for the first year. We will slow a bit in adding content as some of the videos will take more time and resources to develop. One will be a well-rounded gym workout series targeting strength and endurance without injury.

I want to add more instructor content and that will require extra live bodies to work with in shooting those videos. I look forward to the challenges.

You can visit “The CSAT Way” on Facebook for video updates.

LIBERALS AND THE WORLD

Truckers in Canada kicking ass and creating a ripple effect. The masking is going away. Masking was simply a tool to control and attempt to dominate. I think truckers could have make their point by stopping delivers for two weeks and letting the shelves go bare. Let the powers to be deal with a mass of pissed off citizenry.

It is sad that in a world of Churches, they have followed the almighty dollar instead of their beliefs and principles. Much of the reason is egotistical and wussie pastors who believe in peace at all costs, to include loss of freedom. Their philosophy seems to be that you can still pray while in chains.

I know many military folks worry about getting out into the civilian world. Many are unsettled about leaving the security blanket they have grown used to. Fear not, as our country, just like many others are filled with veterans and conservative types that did not leave their passion for patriotism behind them with the uniform. They took their patriotism, discipline and motivation with them and continue to soldier on.

Stand up quietly or Stand Up Out loud-but stand for something..

Finally:

VOTE!

LE CORNER

No-Knock Warrants

NTOA-The National Tactical Officers Association is coming out against No-Knock Warrants from what I have read.

We have been talking among our staff who has considerable experience in the field along with officers still in the field whose phones are blowing up about this issue.

Lots to consider. As one officer mentioned, they hate losing a tool in their tool box.

I like the idea of containing threats and not letting them spread (them or gunfire) and short circuiting their OODA loops.

Can this be done with other tactics? Say vehicle takedowns, takedowns on the street or ruses? You bet.

Are there certain times and instances this technique can be employed correctly? Again, yes, but it takes another Risk Assessment Matrix and mature tactical leadership to make these decisions.

Along with the above, the team needs their tactics and techniques to be exceptional. This means they have practiced and practiced. This is not a situation where the team is made up of adrenaline junkies looking for their next fix.

Some teams are that in name only and get by on luck. When game day and gun fire comes to their world, they fold and wonder what happened. Next, some police management (leaders) have teams for bragging rights only and do not know the capabilities and limitations of their tactical elements.

We teach shields in our Basic SWAT and they are slow to be used in Texas. I see them here and there. Again, a good tool, but they require work and training with both handgun and rifle. Few want to put in the work.

Is this tool being taken away for political reason and not sound rationale? More discussion needs to take place and stats need to be dug into and brought to the table.

A really good read:

“Be sure to check in at csattss.com for our line of Tomahawks and limited-edition blades.”

Also, the shop got in a shipment of chest packs from Tactical Tailor, the best that I have worn.
